Privacy Policy — AgroGreen

Note: the bracketed fields will be filled with real data, and this policy will be reviewed by legal counsel before the commercial launch. It describes what the app does TODAY, promising neither more nor less. The Spanish version is the binding one.
1. Data controller
[NAME/COMPANY], [ADDRESS], contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
2. What data we collect
- Account data: name or alias, email, password (encrypted) and, if you sign up with Google, the basic data that provider shares with us (name, email, photo). Also your country, profession and main interest if you set them during onboarding — used to personalize the app (calendars, units, your country's official sources).
- Public profile: what you choose to show — name, photo, headline, bio, country, profession and reputation. We never show your email or phone on the profile, and people search does not work by email.
- Invitations: your invitation code and, if you joined through someone's link, who invited you (referredById). Used only to notify the inviter that you joined (with your name, never your email or phone).
- Public content you publish: questions, answers, My Space posts and comments (with their likes, reposts and hashtags), and Store listings. It is visible to other users and moderated per the Rules.
- Private farm and crop records: animals, treatments, weigh-ins, reproductive events, milkings, paddocks, plots, field tasks, inventory and finances. They are private: only you see them, and you can export them (CSV and print/PDF) whenever you want.
- Saved Store searches: the filters you save so we can alert you about new matching listings. Only you see them, and you can pause or delete them.
- Store leads: if you press "Contact" on a listing, we record your interest and optional message and show it to the seller with your name — that is what the button is for.
- Preferences: the My Space visual theme and the language. Cosmetic, so the app looks the way you left it.
- Technical usage data: the minimum required to work (signed-in session, necessary cookies). We currently load no third-party analytics; if that changes, consent will be requested via the cookie notice before anything loads.
- Payment data: once billing is active, it will be processed by an external payment provider; we will not store your card details.
3. What is public and what is private (honest summary)
- Public: your profile, your questions and answers, your My Space posts and comments, your Store listings and your reputation.
- Private: your email, your phone, your My Farm and My Crop records, your saved searches, your favorites and your notifications.
- Between two people: a Store lead is seen by the person contacting and the seller.
4. Cookies
We use cookies necessary for operation (session, theme and language preference, and the temporary invitation-code cookie if you arrived through a referral link). There are currently no analytics or advertising cookies; if there ever are, your consent will be requested first.
5. What we use the data for and legal basis
- Providing the Service and managing your account — performance of contract.
- Personalizing content by country/interest — performance of contract.
- In-app notifications (bell) and service emails (verification) — performance of contract; commercial communications only with your consent.
- Moderation and security — legitimate interest.
- Processing subscriptions once billing is active — performance of contract.
6. Who we share data with
With providers that give us technical services, only what is necessary: hosting and database, email delivery, and the weather, map and satellite APIs (which receive query coordinates, not your identity). Once billing is active, with the payment provider. We do not sell your data, and there is currently no other disclosure.
7. International transfers
Some providers may be outside your country. In those cases we apply adequate safeguards under the applicable rules.
8. Retention
We keep your data while you have an account and as long as needed to meet legal obligations. If you request account deletion (currently done by writing to us; there is no self-serve delete button yet), your content and records are deleted with it, except what we must keep by law.
9. Your rights
You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to [CONTACT EMAIL]. Your farm and crop records can be exported by you directly from the app. You can also complain to your country's data protection authority.
10. Minors
The Service is not aimed at minors. We do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encrypted passwords, restricted access, HTTPS). No system is 100% infallible.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; we will give notice of significant changes and update the date above.
13. Contact
For any privacy matter: [CONTACT EMAIL].
